Renfe has rolled out a real-time tracking map covering all high-speed, long distance, and regional servicces. It’s open to the public and it echoes the Cercanías (commuter) viewer launched last November.

Users can filter by train number, high-speed, or conventional services, with clicking on a formation revealing origin, destination, prior and next stops, and full route details.

Renfe president Álvaro Fernández Heredia announced it on his X account, citing passenger demand for better operational intel: “From RENFE we’ve made available a viewer with the real-time location of all AV/LD and MD trains”.

Direct access is via the link, plus QR codes are being fitted to seats across the fleet for easy scanning on board.

This initiative facilitates journey planning and reduces uncertainty in the event of incidents, in line with the digitalisation of the Spanish railway sector. Renfe continues to improve its services to offer a more efficient experience to users.
