CargoBeamer has increased round trips on its Calais–Perpignan rolling highway service from four to six per week, consolidating the corridor as a key axis for semi-trailer traffic in France.
The capacity uplift is being delivered in two phases: a fifth weekly frequency introduced in April 2026 and a sixth scheduled for June, enabling daily departures in both directions from Monday to Saturday.
The service links the Calais terminal with Perpignan Saint-Charles Conteneur in around 28 hours and accommodates craneable and non-craneable semi-trailers, refrigerated units, ADR consignments, tankers and containers. Since December 2025, traction has been provided by Lineas.
The corridor supports onward flows to the United Kingdom via the Channel Tunnel and short-sea links, while at the southern end it connects with Catalonia, Aragón and the Valencia region. According to the operator, each unit shifted to rail cuts CO₂ emissions by around 93% compared with road haulage, equivalent to more than 1,100 kg.
CargoBeamer attributes the capacity increase to rising intermodal demand in France and expects to continue expanding its domestic network.
