Endesa to supply FGV electricity for one year

For nearly €22 million, FGV awards Endesa the electricity supply contract for traction and installations on Metrovalencia and TRAM d'Alacant until 19 August 2027.

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has awarded Endesa Energía, S.A.U. the contract for the supply of electrical energy for traction and installations on Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant. The contract, valued at €21,757,096.63, will run for one year, from 20 August 2026 to 19 August 2027.

The supply covers maintenance depots, office buildings, and underground and surface stations operated by FGV in both provinces. The procurement will ensure continuity of rail services across a combined network of more than 270 km and nearly 220 stations and stops.

In València, Metrovalencia comprises six metro lines and four tram lines, spread over 161 km and serving 147 stations and stops. In Alacant, the contract covers TRAM lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and part of line 9, with 111 km of route and 71 stations and stops.

The award is implemented under the framework agreement of the Central Procurement Office of the Generalitat Valenciana, to which FGV is attached as a public-sector instrumental entity.
