Spain’s three high-speed operators (Iryo, Ouigo and Renfe) have announced they are cancelling their participation in the 2026 edition of Fitur, Spain’s premier tourism fair.

The decision has been taken in respect and support for the victims of the Adamuz rail crash, which we are covering live with the utmost rigour.

Iryo was the first operator to announce its withdrawal, publicising it in a statement issued on Monday morning. Speaking to Trenvista, the company said its stand will remain empty, displaying a notice explaining the situation.

Renfe joined the initiative this morning. As is customary, the state operator typically uses this event to make announcements and sign commercial deals. It It, too,ll keep its stand closed and inactive, with a notice on display.

Only moments ago, Ouigo announced the cancellation of all its institutional and media agenda, including a cocktail planned for Thursday. However, it will keep its stand open as an information point, operating with the sobriety the mourning period demands.
