Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) handled a total of 10,659,947 passenger movements across Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant in May, representing a 7.06% increase compared with the same month in 2025. Metrovalencia accounted for 9,005,709 journeys, up 8.64%, with Friday 15 marking the peak demand day at 364,129 trips.
The six metro lines carried 7.67 million passengers, while the four tram lines recorded 1.34 million users. Line 3 was the busiest corridor, followed by Lines 5 and 1. Xàtiva, Colón and Àngel Guimerà emerged as the highest-footfall stations on the network.
The reopening of the València Sud–Castelló section of Line 1 in June 2025 is considered a key factor underpinning ridership growth across the system.
TRAM d’Alacant carried 1,654,238 passengers, broadly in line with May 2025 levels. Line 2 (Luceros–Sant Vicent del Raspeig) led demand, while Line 9 posted the strongest year-on-year growth, up 44.92%. Luceros once again ranked as the busiest station on the Alicante network.
