Alstom has announced the formalisation of the contract to supply 96 additional RER NG trains to SNCF Voyageurs, destined for the RER D line in Ile-de-France.
The order, valued at approximately 1.7 billion euros and financed entirely by Île-de-France Mobilités, was formalized following the approval of the financing agreement by the regional authority’s board of directors on 10 April.
This acquisition brings the total number of RER NG trains ordered to 262 units: 130 Z58000 for line E (112 metres long) and 132 Z 58500 for line D (130 metres, 7 carriages and capacity for 1,861 passengers, including 606 seated).

The RER NG has been operating on line E since November 2023 and on line D since December 2024, helping to modernise and increase the capacity of metropolitan transport in the Paris region .
