Renfe has launched a fresh Public Employment Offer to hire 600 commercial operators as part of its 2026 recruitment plan. This is a key role for the rail operator, since these professionals interact directly with passengers and carry out tasks including ticket sales, station assistance and incident management.

Applicants must meet the technical requirements and demonstrate strong communication skills, customer focus and the ability to manage stress effectively. Applications for the 600 vacancies will remain open until 9 April on Renfe’s Employment Portal.

With these new recruits, the rail company aims to enhance passenger service and strengthen its operations in response to sustained growth in mobility demand throughout Spain.

This recruitment drive follows recent announcements for 550 train drivers and 360 workshop staff, bringing the total number of planned new hires this year to over 2,000.

The staff reinforcements are part of the standard replacement rate and stem from an agreement reached through social dialogue, which led to the cancellation of the strike initially planned for February.
