Alstom and Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) have signed a five-year digital support agreement for Stockholm Metro’s C20 and C30 series systems, with an option to extend for an additional two years.
The contract, effective 1 April 2025, includes 24/7 monitoring, technical support, cybersecurity, software updates, and real-time analysis of train performance.
This strategic agreement ensures digital reliability and continuous metro modernisation, enabling more efficient and safer operation. Alstom will provide comprehensive operational support and develop key digital systems, such as remote vehicle diagnostics, communication systems, CCTV transmission and energy monitoring.

These solutions are designed to improve passenger and staff safety and optimise energy use.
Alstom’s HealthHub platform will enable real-time monitoring of train status, facilitating predictive maintenance and reducing the risk of unexpected outages.
The agreement also includes training for SL technical staff and rapid response to cyber threats, consolidating a modern and future-proof metro infrastructure.
