Renfe launched a new Public Employment Offer (OPE in Spanish) to recruit 470 entry-level train drivers nationwide for its passenger and freight services. The call, open from 13 to 27 February 2025, is part of the staff renewal plan.
The Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Renfe Group will govern the positions offered.
This public tender is in addition to a recent call for 210 Engineering and Maintenance posts covering various technical specialities. Twenty additional positions are expected to be opened in railway equipment maintenance through Dual Vocational Training.

According to the operator, this strategy seeks to cover retirements and departures and meet the needs of new routes, thus strengthening Renfe’s position in the railway sector.
