According to the company’s results, Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) closed the first quarter of 2025 with a net profit of 36 million euros, 53% more than in the same period of the previous year.
Consolidated sales reached 1,118 million euros, an 11% increase driven by both the railway and bus businesses, which grew by 27% thanks to the increase in deliveries.
The company achieved a record order intake of 2,026 million euros (356%), raising its order book to a maximum of 15,603 million euros (6%).
The central contracts include the supply of 30 intercity trains to Morocco, 19 trams to the French city of Tours and 107 trolleybuses for Vancouver, Solaris’ first contract in Canada. In addition, CAF has signed maintenance agreements in the United Kingdom and Colombia and has strengthened its presence in key markets such as Sweden and Poland.
Despite global instability, CAF maintains its growth and profitability prospects for 2025, supported by a solid order book and the international expansion of its businesses.
