Alstom closed the fiscal year 2024/25 with a net profit of 149 million euros, leaving behind a loss of 309 million euros in the previous period.
The French manufacturer achieved sales of 18.489 billion euros, an increase of 4.9% compared to the previous year. Orders increased by 4.7% to 19.845 billion euros, driven primarily by European demand, with significant contracts in Germany and France.
Adjusted operating profit (aEBIT) rose 18.1% to EUR 1,177 million, bringing the adjusted operating margin to 6.4%. Adjusted net profit amounted to EUR 498 million, compared to EUR 44 million a year earlier. Also noteworthy was the significant debt reduction, which stood at EUR 434 million at 31 March 2025, compared to EUR 2,994 million the previous year.
For 2025/26, Alstom forecasts organic sales growth between 3% and 5% and an adjusted operating margin close to 7%. The company thus confirms its medium-term ambitions and maintains a cumulative free cash flow target of at least €1.5 billion for the current and next financial year.
