FGV invests more than 23 million euros in the reconstruction of València Sud

.

The Generalitat Valenciana, through Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV), has announced an investment of more than 23 million euros to rebuild the València Sud complex, which was severely damaged by flooding last October.

The project covers the refurbishment of the central offices, Contol Center, workshops and auxiliary buildings. Three emergency contracts have been awarded: 11 million for the main office building, 6 million for workshops and auxiliary buildings, and a further 6 million for the Operations, Historical Archives and Maintenance buildings.

In parallel, work is underway on the renovation of access and auxiliary roads with an additional investment of 15 million euros. It is expected that in early February 2025, trains on Lines 1, 2 and 7 will once again be able to arrive at València Sud station.
