Trainline Partner Solutions (TPS), the B2B arm of Trainline, has integrated Renfe and iryo ticketing content into SAP Concur Travel, SAP’s corporate travel management platform.

This development allows, for the first time, both operators to be combined within a single booking. For instance, a traveller can undertake the outbound leg with Renfe and the return with iryo under one corporate ticket, or mix monopoly Renfe sections with open-access competitive segments.

Previously, the two operators were displayed separately in Concur Travel, preventing joint itineraries. A key advantage of TPS as a rail content provider is its capability to aggregate multi-operator journeys. In Spain, this functionality had been largely confined to cross-border services, but it is now extended to domestic flows.

The integration shortens booking times, enables easier fare comparison between operators, enhances spend visibility, and strengthens reporting and compliance in managed travel programmes. It also introduces online refunds via the platform and is expected to support digital ticket exchange in a forthcoming phase, improving aftersales processes for travel management companies (TMCs).

This rollout forms part of TPS’s European expansion alongside SAP Concur, already deployed in the UK and Switzerland, and reinforces rail as a sustainable alternative to air on short- and medium-haul corridors, aligned with European transport decarbonisation targets.
