The Spanish Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has announced the temporary closure of Metrovalencia line 1, on the Bétera-Masies section, from 28 June to 31 August 2025. The start of the cut will coincide with the re-establishment of the service between València Sud and Castelló.

The reason for this is the construction of two lateral carriageways on the A-7 motorway at around kilometre 319.5. To allow them to pass under the tracks, the Ministry will install two metal bridges for the line owned by FGV.

This action is part of the functional improvement, road safety, and environmental integration works carried out on the A-7 in the section between the junctions with the CV-32 and CV-35, which affects several municipalities.

The project, with a budget of 130.7 million euros, envisages the construction of two lateral carriageways attached to the dual carriageway to connect the existing junctions and separate local traffic from long-distance traffic.

During the period of rail service interruption, an alternative bus service will be provided to guarantee the mobility of users affected by the cut in Metrovalencia line 1.
