Spanish technology group GMV will supply public address, intercom, CCTV and onboard communications systems for the new sleeper trains Talgo is building for Egyptian National Railways (ENR). Developed with proprietary technology, these systems aim to boost passenger safety, operational efficiency and travel comfort.

The package includes an integrated public address and intercom network for announcements and emergency coordination, a CCTV system with an NVR recorder and IP cameras throughout the train, and cab touchscreens providing real-time video feeds. GMV will also provide its Mobile Communication Gateway, which gathers onboard diagnostic data and transmits it for remote analysis.

All the systems will be fully integrated with the train’s control and monitoring architecture, ensuring interoperability with other onboard equipment and improving overall fleet management.
