Alstom Spain presented its results for the 2024/2025 fiscal year this Thursday, closing the year with sales of € 809 million, up 1.25% from the previous year, and an order backlog of € 4,263 million, more than double that of 2020. 54% of revenues come from exports to markets such as Luxembourg, Mexico, Morocco, Dominican Republic, Singapore, Egypt, and Canada.
The company, which employs 7,316 people in Spain (2,917 directly and 4,399 indirectly), has contributed 400 million euros to the national GDP and made purchases from almost 1,000 local suppliers worth 530 million euros in the last year.
Among its most significant projects are the manufacture of 201 commuter trains for Renfe, the automation of Line 6 of the Madrid Metro, and the supply of new APM trains for Barajas Airport. In addition, it is awaiting the formalisation of the contract to manufacture 117 regional trains for Portugal, which would entail the construction of a new factory in the country.
